Father’s House Church to Rebuild on New Site

After a fire destroyed the Father’s House on Wadsworth Road in Norton four months ago, construction will begin on a new church just up the road from their old location.
Pastor Mike Guarnieri says he and his congregation are excited about this new chapter for the Father’s House.
“We will only be a mile and a half west of the location of where the fire took place,? he said. “We are very excited about it and we will be breaking ground in February.?
The new church will be located at 4075 Wadsworth Road in Norton.
With the new building going in later this year, there’s a reason for the excitement. The new Father’s House will be bigger and have more amenities for its members.
“It will all be one story without any steps, along with a nice commercial kitchen inside the church, and a large play area for the kids outside,? says Guarnieri.
Guarnieri says he’s been thankful for all of the support he and his church family have received since the October fire.
“We’ve received many donations from other churches and private individuals,? he said. “We also appreciate the media for getting the word out and letting people know about our situation,? he said.
“God has been working through these various individuals and that his congregation has been very blessed by their philanthropy.?
Pastor Mike says full insurance coverage and those generous donations made the new church possible. He says that the new church will be ready for worship services before Christmas of 2013.
Currently, the Father’s House has been holding services at Lake Anna Hall in Barberton since their church was destroyed in the fire. Guarnieri says he’s thankful to the Canfora family for providing the building.
“Things are going well in the Lake Anna Hall; it’s a large building with very few steps, so our older members of the congregation have an easier time getting in,? he says.
